What a year! 2009 proved to be a very exciting year. Having the opportunity to drive in several divisions for different car owners was a lot of fun. Stats: Total- 37 races 13 wins Sportmod- 14 starts 5 wins 11 top 5's 12 top 10's 1 DNF Late model- 9 starts 4 wins 8 top 5's 9 top 10's Legend- 9 starts 4 wins 8 top 3's 1 DNF Modified- 5 starts 4 top 5's Street Stock- 1 heat race win Sportmod Champion Late Model 4th in points Legend 4th in points Hard Charger- Sportmod and Late model Fastest Lap- Late model We would like to give a special thanks to the car owners that gave us a chance this season. We appreciate all you did. Darryl Teresak- LM Gary Cretty- Mod Gunnar Zeiner- Legend Damon Frutchey- SM Chip Wannamaker- SS Concord North Carolina Nov 5th and 6th Our weekend started off with a blown motor in practice on Thursday night. The crew worked all night swapping out motors and finding parts to get back to the track for qualifying. Without much practice and being down horsepower our qualifying effort also did not go very well. We started in the back in the heat race and finished 5th. Once again the crew took the car back to the shop and worked late to get the car handling better for the race on Saturday. We made it into the show through the consi and started 27th in the feature. Prior to the feature Zane was still not comfortable with the car so the crew worked hard to make more changes. The car was good for the feature. We stayed out of trouble and came home with an 11th place finish. We were happy with the effort and are looking forward to going back again. Thanks to Gary Cretty for the great opportunity. It was a lot of fun for all. Also thanks to the entire crew for all of there hard work getting the car race ready. |
